Emersed to Submerged Transition
As this Rotala is grown emersed, it may initially have different leaf shapes and appearance when planted underwater. After introduction to the aquarium, it will gradually adapt and produce new submerged leaves.
For the strongest red coloration, provide adequate lighting, consistent nutrients and a good supply of CO2. Regular trimming and replanting of healthy tops can help create a dense, bushy background.
